Billie Baker is a multidisciplinary artist currently creating on unceded Bundjalung Country. Her practice spans film, digital drawing, photography, weaving, painting, and textilesóeach medium serving as a vessel for exploring the inner workings of the human mind and its reflection in nature.
Influenced by psychology and the cyclical patterns of thought, Baker draws parallels between the rhythms of human emotion and the recurring cycles of the natural world. Her work merges vibrant, acidic colour palettes with ethereal mark-making to form dreamlike landscapes that echo the shifting states of consciousness.
Through intricate patterns and organic forms, Baker captures the tension between control and surrender, movement and stillnessórevealing the ways our inner worlds mirror the ever-changing flow of Mother Nature.
Baker studied at Regent’s College in London and has completed a Bachelor of Design in Photography and Situated Media from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2017.x
